Shanna Dinsmore

Adult Discipleship Ministry Assistant

TVC Responsibilities:
I provide support, planning, communication, and resources in day-to-day operations to the Adult Discipleship team. I alleviate administrative duties to free up the pastors and ministers to develop, lead, and minister to the church body.

When and how did the Lord save you?
I was raised in a home with parents who loved Jesus and made serving the local church a priority. At 4 years old, I vividly remember realizing that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. While I was saved at a young age, I had a life of sin before me. For many years, I was crippled by people-pleasing and perfectionism. In 2019, while participating in the Training Program at TVC, the Lord began to expose the false story that had shaped my view of Him, myself, and the world around me. As I began to see God rightly, the Holy Spirit radically transformed me.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
We moved to the area in 2016 for my husband’s job. After a year of what I unaffectionately called “church shopping,” we visited TVC in 2017 and knew we had found our church home.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
How spiritual formation usually happens in the normal, ordinary, mundane moments of our lives.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I am living it! I have always wanted to be a mother who served the Lord with her family.

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
Lucy Ricardo. There would never be a dull moment.

Favorite Hobby:
I love to sit on my porch with a good book!
